About Us

The State Network is the first dedicated Kannada language fact-checking news portal in India’s southern state of Karnataka. Since 2020 when we started, our team has been trying to bust fake news related to COVID and other related issues.

We are a self-funded initiative and also dependent on philanthropy to keep the portal running.

Our main focus is to serve rural issues, disseminate coronavirus related news, Agriculter and crack fake news in Kannada.  We have done articles on best practices to contain the virus, myths surrounding food habits with Covid crisis, and more.

We are a team of common-minded people who’ve come together to work in the field to serve the underserved communities who are often misled with fake information.

Also, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we received Grant ‘Rapid Response Fund’ from Inter news to boost dissemination of information to local communities. The award is a recognition of the trustworthy and accurate information that we provide on our portal.
